This project is designed to empower 101 households annually through comprehensive entrepreneurship skills development and financial literacy training, fostering sustainable economic empowerment. While women represent 60% of the target beneficiaries, the program also includes youth and men, accounting for the remaining 40%. The age group served is between 16 to 35 years. The project is delivered in phases, with three cohorts of 30 participants each.
In partnership with local government entities, organizations, and businesses, Family Uplift Uganda (FUU) has positively impacted 369 households from 2021 to 2024 in rural Jinja, Eastern Uganda. As a result of this initiative, FUU has successfully established 14 Village Savings and Loan Associations (VSLAs) across 14 villages.
